Here we discuss the services you seek, pricing, what to expect, and whether I am the right attorney to help you reach your trademark goals.

Engagement

No legal services or advice may be provided until after the engagement letter is executed. This can be completed electronically.

20-Minute Strategy Call

This is when we discuss your goals with more specificity, the substance depending on your project. For a trademark application for example, we’ll discuss:

What is the mark or marks?
What services or goods will you be selling under the mark(s)?
Are you selling now, or do you plan to do so in the future?
What are your future plans for your business?

Trademark Search

Once I have the information I need, I can conduct a trademark search. The breadth of the search will depend on the strategy and price we have agreed to.

50-Minute Strategy Call

Let’s talk again. We can discuss what I discovered in the search and what it means to your application. We will fill out the strategy, gather evidence of the use of your mark, if applicable, and this is when I will ask you to pay the USPTO application fee and my legal fee.

File

Once all required fees have been paid, I will draft an application, for your review and approval.

If the application is approved by you, I file with the USPTO.
